Norton is the name, and nasty is the game. |
Following in the footsteps of FRED, Norton has the kind of rich harmonics you thought you could only get from a single coil. The pickup also has more volume, midrange, and bass than a vintage humbucker. The patented dual-resonance design lets bridge humbuckers sound solid, or a neck pickup to sound so big. Recommended for the bridge position, but can also be used at the neck with hotter humbuckers like Tone Zone, Super Distortion, and Super 3 (See recommended accessories box on this page).
Norton was designed to extend the range and power of standard output humbuckers without going over the top. More modern than a PAF sound, the guitar pickup yields more midrange crunch and high-frequency pick harmonics than vintage-style pickups. Really good for opening up the sound of mahogany set-neck guitars.
