Boss FV-500L, Low Impedance is a low-impedance, stereo volume pedal for use in the pedal chain of electric guitars.
The Boss FV-500L is the low impedance version (a high impedance version is available) and is intended for use in the middle or at the end of a pedal chain, for guitarists who want to be able to control the volume of their guitar going into a specific pedal or the volume of the signal from the pedal chain going into an amplifier.
The FV-500L has stereo inputs and outputs, meaning it could be used before or after a stereo effects pedal, such as a delay. The pedal also offers an output for a tuner, so that even if the volume is down, the signal will bypass into the tuner. There's even an option to use the FV-500L as an expression pedal with expression-compatible amps, effects, and synthesizers.
The main features of the Boss FV-500L, Low Impedance include:
- Low impedance volume pedal for use between pedals or at the end of a pedal chain before an amp
- Stereo inputs and outputs for use with other stereo effects pedals
- Ultra-smooth pedal movement for the utmost in comfort and control
- Adjustable pedal feel
- Pedal rubber is for comfortable play and non-slip action
- Expression pedal function
- Convenient tuner-output jack
- Heavy-duty aluminium die-cast body
