The Yamaha MX61 features a synth engine offering over 1000 sounds from the famous MOTIF XS, including acoustic and electric pianos, strings and drums, as well as complex eight-element synth sounds. There are also VCM effects ranging from vintage EQs to flangers, phasers and wahs.
The MX61 integrates seamlessly with any DAW, offering hardware controls for VST as well as the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) itself thanks to a remote template editor. In addition to offering USB audio and MIDI ports, the MX has a USB to device port, allowing mobile devices to store MX data and the MX to play back wave files directly from a USB stick.
With bi-directional USB audio and MIDI interfacing, the MX61 can be used to monitor all sounds from the DAW, either via the unit's headphone output or by connecting to monitor speakers.
