The Schecter Solo II Custom solidbody is the electric guitar for you when you want the look and feel of a classic with modern features that offer a wider tonal range and a more enjoyable playing experience. The Solo II Custom is built from the tonewood combination of mahogany and figured maple for their blend of warmth and attack. A set of Schecter USA Pasadena humbuckers is based on the PAF platform. Tried-and-true construction
The basis of the Schecter Solo II Custom electric guitar is the mahogany and maple, set-neck, single-cutaway design that has found a home with countless guitarists worldwide. The tonewood combination offers a sound that has plenty of warmth and bark, but the maple delivers long sustain and a quick attack. You'll notice harmonics and transients explode from the ebony fretboard. But Schecter is far from copying an old design. Thanks to the sharp cutaway, thin "C" neck profile, and Schecter headstock, the Solo II Custom still has a look and feel all its own.
Hot-rodded PAF-style humbuckers
You'll love the clear but full-bodied tone of the Schecter USA Pasadena-series humbucking pickups in the Solo II Custom. The Pasadena neck pickup is great at achieving all of the warmth and top-end detail of great vintage-era PAF humbuckers. The Pasadena Plus in the bridge was designed for Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance. It boasts a more pronounced upper midrange that cuts right through a mix. And the increased output is great for driving your amps or pedals just a bit harder.
Touches for modern performance
The Solo II Custom does depart from a strictly vintage construction in many ways. Features like its Schecter locking tuners offer a level of tuning stability not matched by many older models of guitars. An Ernie Ball compensated nut keeps the guitar's intonation consistent across the whole range of the fretboard. And the Pasadena humbuckers can be coil split via a push-pull tone pot to access single-coil sounds. Players are really impressed with how well Schecter blended the best features of vintage and modern designs in the Solo II Custom.
