Included AVDECC controller software allows discovery and management of all AVB devices on your network. Across-the-board compatibility with analog hardware and customizable channel labeling makes operating the M-32 DA Pro a breeze. The M-32 DA Pro includes redundant power supplies for the ultimate in reliability.
Reference-quality conversion
The M-32 DA Pro is one of the best converters we’ve heard. It boasts reference-quality conversion, thanks to state-of-the-art, high-resolution components and a fully balanced analog circuit design. Experience a signal-to-noise ratio of 120dBA and extremely low THD values. Benefit from D/A conversion with up to 192kHz sampling frequency. The M-32 DA Pro’s internal filters are based on the ADI-2 Pro FS reference converter, yielding a completely linear frequency response.
Ultra-stable SteadyClock FS technology
RME's SteadyClock has earned many accolades, by virtue of its flawless, low-jitter clocking. This technology has always been RME's secret weapon, ensuring that the internal clocks on their devices sound exactly the same as using an external one. The M-32 DA Pro's SteadyClock FS takes self-jitter even lower, improving its analog PLL circuit and referencing both Direct Digital Synthesis and PLL to a low-phase-noise quartz crystal. In fact, the M-32 DA Pro's self-jitter reaches levels that are usually only available in master quartz clock mode, even while running in PLL mode. Thanks to this updated circuit, the M-32 DA Pro reaches jitter specs as low as a femtosecond. Just to put it in perspective, that's 1/1,000,000,000,000,000 of a second!
Easy integration into an AVB network
The M-32 DA Pro includes two MADI I/Os — each with its own signal routing. But that’s just the beginning. It also features a built-in AVB interface based on the IEEE 802.1 and 1722.1 open network standards, allowing you to receive 32 channels of audio at 192kHz via a single Ethernet cable. Thanks to the open ACDECC 1722.1 control protocol, you can control the M-32 DA Pro using external controllers from a variety of manufacturers. Beyond that, you can take command using a web interface and JSON API — both via the network connection and the M-32 DA Pro’s integrated USB port.
Across-the-board compatibility
If you use a lot of analog hardware in your studio, you’ll appreciate the across-the-board compatibility of the RME M-32 DA Pro. Each of its individual channels can be operated at different line levels — with maximum resolution. Besides +19dBu and +13dBu, you can also work at the SMPTE recommendation of +24dBu at 0dBFS — a real benefit for film post production.
