The Korg Rimpitch is a new style of guitar tuner that is as discrete as it is precise. This new chromatic tuner format sits on the lower rim of the sound hole with two rubberised clips and has a vertically facing display so you can tune your guitar in comfort.
Many guitarists dislike having headstock tuners as they feel they are too far to see clearly in dimly lit venues and they look clumsy. The Rimpitch tackles both these issues by being closer to the guitarist and neatly tucked away in the sound hole out of sight of the audience.
The Rimpitch features a piezo pickup positioned close to the guitar body so that it detected the pitch more accurately and faster the standard headstock tuners due to its proximity to the main source of oscillation. The pickup is transmitted to the display which shows a two stage deviation from the fundamental using high brightness LEDs. There are also six LEDs to indicate which string is being tuned.
The Korg Rimpitch is designed to be used only with six string acoustic guitars.
